The people who are starting
college this fall were born in 1992.

They are too young to remember
the space shuttle blowing up.

Their lifetime has always
included AIDS.

The CD was introduced two years
before they were born.

They have always had an
answering machine.

They have always had cable.

Jay Leno has always been
on the Tonight Show.

Popcorn has always
been microwaved..

They never took a swim
and thought about Jaws.

They don't know who Mork
was or where he was from.

They never heard: 'Where's the Beef?',
'I'd walk a mile for a Camel ' or
'de plane Boss, de plane'.

McDonald's never came in
Styrofoam containers.

They don't have a clue
how to use a typewriter.

positive! not all my music is on cd's, i'm pretty sure i still have my cassette player. we didnt always have an answering machine. we still had the antannae on the roof with about 3-5 channels depending on the day until 2002. me and my grandma still use the old fanshioned way to make popcorn, we even grow the popcorn. i watch jaws with my dad all the time, one of our favorite movies. i can use a typewriter!! so you cant judge use younger generation based upon majority

One thing that was neat about those old records was that you could lay them on the end of an orangejuice can and put them in the oven for a couple of ours and they would wilt and make a neat looking vase

Geez Dun, I'm starting to feel inferior. You have a considerable knowledge of animal health, pastures and crops and machinery. And now you reveal a great feel for "arts and crafts".
When you posted this, I couldn't wrap my head around a 12" record softening into that little can of "concentrate" OJ that I buy. Seriously, it took me a while to remember those big cans that are still used for some other juices.
I'm going to pick my least treasured CD and see if it will soften into a "concentrate" OJ can. Would you start around 200 on the oven?

Only works with the old hard rubber records. Vinyl metls and I doubt the CDs would do much since I've thrown them in the fire and they don;t seem to melt very well

The also called the wire loop type bottle openers church keys. I've got a box full of both. The can opener type is great for opening paint cans. The wire loop type can me made into a really slick slingshot for shooting staples

I guess I'm kinda tellin my age when I know what a church key is.. :lol: We used them to open bottles of pop to.. no twist off caps then.
