Does anyone happen to have a livestock judge in the family? I've always been curious as to how they become one. Do you have to have a history of showing? If you show one breed specifically, how do you qualify to judge other breeds? Is there any schooling involved?

most ag colleges and junior colleges have a judging team, and class, i guess judges move up to being a professional from there.
