John Deere 2755 door latch

Has any one had their John Deere door
lach come off? It looks like it was tack welded to the frame of the door. Hopefully I do not have to get a whole new door frame.

I was shredding and all the sudden I hear hear the motor loud as heck so I start shutting it down. About that time I realize the door was partially open.

You can remove the two screws holding the latch to the mount and it is easy to get to and weld. Mark where the latch is positioned before you take the screws out and you might avoid having to adjust it. There is enough adjustment that the position you weld it on at isn’t super critical, but the closer you get it, the easier adjustment will be.
