There is a 2630 with fresh paint job for sale in our area. Machine finder says that the 2630 is 70 hp but is that engine or pto? I'm wondering if it would run our 457 silage special round baler. Would it have more nut than our 5420 4wd? It has a loader and I wonder if it would pick up baleage bales in the field. Anyone else have a 2630? Thanks.

We used to have one and it did alright bailing but, it worked it, as far as lifting the baleage, it'll do it. If you can 1.Keep the backend on the ground 2.Keep your tires from getting to collapsed. We used one several winters ago, when we had one broken down. It worked the living daylights out of that thing though. As far as baleing goes there are many, many, many variables. Hills? Thickness of windrow? We use New holland rakes and adjust the all the way up on the neck to make a fluffy windrow when we have to use a smaller tractor, It takes longer but, it gets the job done.
