Feeding out 2 Jersey cross steers,
They are 3 weeks past a year old, have been on feed since weaning, processing time will be around mid October.
They are currently getting probably around 15 lbs of a 3 way mix apiece per day. Half a bucket twice a day, free choice hay which ain't nothing to brag about quality wise. I'll increase their feed as time goes and eventually try to get them to eating mostly corn by the last 3 months.
The white faced calf is 1/4 Jersey, his mother is the result of the neighbors Jersey bull getting in with our heifers one year. The darker calf is a 1/2 Jersey out of our Jersey nurse cow.BEFCCED2-76BE-4E22-9BB2-F7C7A2BD3972.jpeg730DB854-ED56-4A38-A82A-429C9DF5BB24.jpeg5BB16C3F-63C9-4CE0-B57C-C0F9059AE0EC.jpeg
