Sat in one at the dealership the other day, one with the sloped hood. Loved the visibility, shorter wheel base will be nice for loader work but probably a little rougher in the fields. Inside is more in line with R series tractors with the price increase to boot. Cannot understand what JD is doing here though. This will surely cannibalize the 5115/5125R tractors they recently came out with and now they will have to overhaul the R series tractors which will only make them go up even more in price. Kind of shocked by the price tag of this new M series. We bought a brand new 6420 in 2004 for $48K with all the bells and whistles and these M’s will be well over $100k.
