But the state commission went further, saying it will require that before the Rodeo Cowboy Association can take part in any future state fair, “they must provide evidence to the director of the Missouri State Fair that they have proof that all officials and subcontractors of the MRCA have successfully participated in sensitivity training.”

We see stuff like that everywhere and no one is spared. Look what the media in the form of comedy did to President Bush. You could not turn the TV on when Bush was president w/o hearing someone poking fun at Bush. My brother and I were at a guys only cabin party as they say, "way back up in the woods" this week-end. There was not much love going around for President Obama. Someone made a reasonable comment that no matter who the President is we should respect him. I stated, I always thought that myself until they made a national past-time of degrading President Bush. I said, "they opened the gate, now don't cry to me because the horses got out."

if the MRCA goes ahead with banning Tuffy ( the clown) then IMO all the members need to quit entering any MRCA sanctioned rodeo's and not pay any membership dues

I'm not sure which bothers me more. The fact that the 'clown' got PC'd because of the mask, that MSFA has already imposed a lifetime ban on him, or----------- that the prez of the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy's Assoc resigned in protest that the Fair Assoc didn't ban him quickly enough.

A rodeo clown at that Missouri State Fair made waves over the weekend after he donned a mask resembling President Obama during Saturday’s bull-riding competition.

Now, the president of the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association, Mark Ficken, has resigned from the group, not as an acknowledgment of wrongdoing on his part, but rather as a protest that the association has not banned the rodeo clown from its membership, his attorney told the Associated Press.

I don't recall anyone being required to have re-training.

My gosh. When I was a kid, USSR sent enemies of the state for political/sensitivity re-training. Now they are doing it here. Done with it.....

Rights are not won or lost at the ballot box..... they weren't CREATED there.

They are going to require a bunch of rodeo cowboys to take sensitivity training....... that will work real well.

Rodeo clowns have been using that same act for decades. The mask changes as the political party in power changes. I believe that the MRCA needs to blacklist the Missouri State Fair. Or if they do sanction a rodeo there nobody should enter. That actually works better. The fair advertises a rodeo. They sell tickets to a rodeo. And zero cowboys show up.
