If I remember correctly McDonalds came to SA in either 1996 or 1997. Feeble excuses for burgers in my opinion.

Feeble excuse in most people opinions. I do like their Mcrib though. Even the bones are meat!
 
Every now and again, like once every two years, I have to have a Big Mac. And I like a cheeseburger Happy Meal. Just enough food, not too much. Doesn't knock me out in the middle of the day. I generally avoid it, though. If I have to eat fast food, Arby's gets the vote. My 12 year old can eat 5 of those things.
