Gotta love a heated shop and cab tractors. We were warmer than all of our neighbors today, the village of Anahim Lake recorded -50 which is basically 60 below F this morning.

As cold as it was this morning. In celcius….

Had warmed to -34 by 10:30 when we fed the cows at C2

Heifers at Morrison Meadow were a little frosty.

Steamed beef.

Warm as it got by 1 PM

Scenery in the stack yard.

Feed for a couple bunches for tomorrow at MM.

One winter there, would do me in ...id be raising highland /Yak F1s..

No bugs, snakes or crocagators! Even the bears are in bed.

We were at -19C this morning (-1F).. not too bad.

Cows learn to get along and cozy up to each other and stop fighting when it's cold!

Our winter goes from below freezing to 10c during day....so there is a lot of moisture.

When it is cold like that, at least it is prob dry, not getting wet each day....falls would all be snow ?

We are having similar cold temps. I am a little jealous of your heated shop 😁. It is truly amazing what cattle can tolerate. We find if you can keep them out of the wind it's just another day for them

Where are you at?

Nice pictures, 10 degrees and real feel was -10, I think cows enjoy it more than the heat, they can make the most out of sunshine and a wind break, that's why we don't have to worry about chiggers, seed ticks, fire ants, and snakes.

Here's my november calf... He was born well dressed for the weather to come.. doesn't seem any worse for wear... -22C, -7F

I'd put up with the cold to have scenery like that! Are those mountains owned by individuals? I'm a flat lander so it's intriguing to think about owning vertical land.

Nope, that's all public lands
