One method of dealing with the stress of HAY harvest - Think about how bad it could really be:
1. You could be hunting polar bears in the Artic and fall through the ice.
2. You could be hiking in the Himalayas and find yourself trapped in an avalanche hundreds of miles from civilization.
3. You could be crossing a rickety rope bridge over the Zambezi and the rope is breaking; below the waters are filled with Nile crocodiles.
4. You could be walking the rim of a deep crevasse and you lose your footing and are slowly ever slowly sliding toward a 5,000 foot drop with no chance to stop the slide.
5. You could on a cattle tour and your stomach is upset from a big exotic dinner and too much wine. You have to crap or you are going to shyt your pants but there is no place to go!!!

man ferget about cutting i havent even been able to spray for weeds yet this yr..between the rain and the wind it just aint happenin

I will second that!

I'm not doing anything on that list. But I'm planning on making hay when the sunshines. I don't drink wine, but I never leave home not prepared.

This is no joke. I have IBS and sometimes will eat something that I shouldn't have so I hardly ever eat anywhere but home. However, I still lose at life from time to time. You want to talk about sweaty palms and curled toes, this will do it for you. And when something like this happens, I always hit all the bumps in the road.

Ron, it's that way every year up here. I stopped worrying and just take the windows as they are given. No sense stressing over something that is out of our control. Test the hay and supplement if you need to.

Best post of this whole thread!

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
James 5:7
Have it marked in my Bible to read when I feel inpatient.
Your day of sunshine will come.

A very good verse to have marked and read when we become impatient. I will mark it in my Bible now. Thank you for sharing.

Or you could have not enough hay to make it worth while cutting!

Or you could be haying a good pasture and the frame on some of your hay equipment suddenly needs welded, then the baler goes up in a puff of smoke! Sorry Dun...... :hide:

Going on a 3 day hikeing trip in a pair pointed nose, plastic soled cowboy boots would be worse. You know, the Kmart specials.
