I think that it was faked. He looks he is wearing a box covered with hay when he runs away.

What bothered me the most was his jumping off of the tractor while it was moving. My B-I-L was killed when he tried to get on a tractor whose brakes slipped. It started moving and he tried to get on it. Slipped & fell and the tractor ran over him. : (
