Got an Iseki T2800 (grey market Massey?) with an apparent leak in the hydraulic system for the 3 point hitch. You can pull it up, but it will slowly drop down (without control inputs).

Anyone know of a service/parts manual for this model, or what exact Massey model it's grey marketed after (if indeed it is)?

Thanks

I know the Massey line fairly well. If you can post a picture of your model I might be able to tell which MF it comes closest to. I have seen several Iseki's and never saw one that looked anything like a Massey though. I suspect the parts are not interchangeable.

You can try here.

White sold Iseki utility tractors for a number of years, so they are an Agco affiliate There were quite a few around here. The most popular here were 2-62 and 2-65. There were a few smaller and I think a 2-75. If you have a White dealer in your area, they might be able to help with some parts. Good Luck.

Mike, I have to agree with Chuck here. I did some looking around the web for pictures of the Iseki tractors and from what I can see in the pictures, I don't see any parts that look like MF. The motors that I can see are definitely not Perkins engines.

Do a search on BEPCO, they are in Australia but they may ship to the US.

I found a photo of the same model at

It's pretty much the same as ours except no ROPS. I intially thought it might be a massey knockoff because the front end design reminds me a lot of old MF's.

Wish I could figure out WHAT the heck this thing is, or get a service manual in ENGLISH.

The 3 point hitch problem is now worse. The control level won't stay put in any position. You can raise the hitch to the top, but the lever (or the hitch) doesn't stay. You have to lock the pressure with the valve to get the hitch to stay in one place. I'll take some photos and post of the parts I suspect are involved. I don't want to take anything apart without a manual - usually when I bust into stuff, it never gets back together ;-)

Mike- are you saying that just the lever won't stay where you put it? That might be just the friction disc or whatever they are using to hold the lever where you want it is loose. Lot simpler problem than an internal leak. You can always hope.

Here's a small photo of the whole tractor if anyone can identify it as a "real" tractor model ;-)

Initially the hitch wouldn't stay where was supposed to - it would slowly drop down.

But now the problem is the 3 point hitch control lever won't stay where you put it. I tried tightenin the nut that holds the lever spindle to the plate. And as my lick goes, it ain't that simple. Don't think there's an internal leak cause if you lock it using the valve, it stays. Without knowing the inner workings of the valve system, can't figure out how it works.

The control level isn't sloppy loose or anything, same as it's always been when operating it. It just don't stay put anymore.

My thanks in advance for any ideas.

Mike, I looked at your pictures and don't see any thing that looks like MF hydraulics back there. Hopefully someone might recognize it. Most all the older Perkins engines have the starter and alternator on the right side as you are sitting on the tractor. The tranny and PTO shifter is way different than anything I have ever seen on a MF even the old gas models. Not sure what you got there.

Seems like I've heard of a computer program that you could scan pages into and it would translate them into your choice of several languages. Don't know if I understood it right, but it might be worth looking into. The first shop I worked in had been a Deutz dealer from back when they first started over here. All the service info on the older tractors was only available in German. The shop owner used to hire an older German lady who lived there in town to come down and read them to us if we couldn't figure something out. Over the years she translated and typed out a lot of the more commonly used information. Thankfully the later stuff was in English.
Good Luck.
