Only took 55 acres of oats planted and 4 tons of fertilizer to kill it....

I've got 12 acres of oats up about 5". Planted before the rain started. Found army worms this morning.

.Completely saturated ground. If we get a crust tommorow and I think we will I'll start drilling again on top of the rain. We've had somewhere around a foot since the 2nd. A little bit every day. It can keep a coming as far as I am concerned.

How much did y’all get out of this last round of rain we got?
1 1/2 through Wednesday since the first of September. Got showered on about 6 or 7 times while planting but not enough to keep the bottom of a rain gauge wet. Did melt the fertilizer I threw out Thursday morning and kept the ground in good shape for the no till. Was hoping to get rained out yesterday but it didn’t happen. Have to wait and see what happens now.

Found a coulter bearing gone bad yesterday after I ran out of seed. Have about 17 more acres I’d like to plant. If I plant it I’d have 37 acres needing fertilizer, 20 if I don’t plant. Would be spot on to get an inch right now.

Now to figure out which forecast to bank on.
