I was taking pics this afternoon, and noticed something odd about this cow. One of her eyes has the white around it, the other eye has a dark pigment around it. It's hard to describe, but I did get a picture.

Nothing is wrong with the darker eye.. no running or blueness or anything, but it just struck me as unusual.

Anyone ever seen this?

You mean the different coloured eyes on the same cow?
I havent seen that but I have seen the dark pigment around both eyes on a cow, probably half of our herd has that....

I have a Simmental who has both eyes with the white like that one. Doesn't cause any problems.

Maybe your cow took after her Mom on one eye and her dad on the other one. :D

Sorry.. should have explained what I thought was odd better.

The eye on the left has the bright white ring.. the "sclera" I believe. While the eye on the right is dark brown.

It's not a disease or health issue... she can see fine out of both eyes, I just thought it was unusual.

i think i have one like that too. i'll have to look tomorrow. he may have two white ones tho, i'm not sure.

Pretty common in paint horses, or any horse with a significant amount of white hair color around/near their eyes.
