This cow has a two week old calf.
Is this normal?

Not normal. Call a vet. Vaginal discharge is always worrisome.I suspect may be infection due to retained placenta.

Does the discharge have any odor to it?

It's a uterine infection, dj. Could be caused by any number of things. Might be caused by retained afterbirth (doesn't have to be a lot) or if it was a big calf and had to be pulled or someone had to sleeve up and reach inside; I've known that to create problems before.

If the LA200 doesn't work switch to 30-60cc's of long lasting pennicillin. I haven't had a lot of success with LA200 (for uterine infections), but I've seen penn cure cows that by all rights should have died.

i was expecting an answer of penicillin, but was just curious.
