I see posts from time to time where folks seem really anxious to do the next right thing now that they have a calf. Not much confidence in the process I suppose leads to the anxiety once they are blessed with another animal to care for. We don't/didn't do to much to the ones we dropped this past season. I insisted on vaccinating the ones that came from the sale barn just because they had been exposed to so many " stray cattle." It was early in the spring too and there seemed to be a period of flies. It did not last long. We did not loose any nor have any sick cows this past year. I suppose some of it is because we are in the sticks and not many cattle too close to help fester any sort of illness. Ain't much in the desert to make you sick is how I figure it............ How will you treat this years calf crop and why? Thanks in advance.
