Is a barn ever big enough?

Now that the concrete is under the existing barn I'm sort of enjoying the usable space that doesn't require all the dirt all over everything. It's kind of like my little man cave/workshop/ kitchen. So now I'm thinking about adding onto the barn for hay storage. Hay storage was why justified putting the concrete down in the first place. Hay is only in the barn for 1/3 of the year.
Time to get to building tomorrow I guess. Just a simple 24x16 wing off one side to put hay under. :cboy: :bang:

I have added on to mine twice and I am fixing to again. When It cools down I will start sawing the wood. Just finished putting new belts and rollers on the mill and she's a running good and true again. Hook, the cooler you and deadeye built has got me thinking, I need one. I have a meat room in my barn now that will hang 8-10 deer on a rail system. Sure would be nice to skin and process when I want to and not when the weather makes me. How much are you having to pay for roofing metal there??

You should build that cooler. 4" of that rigid foam insulation will do it. I'm seeing a lot of benefits to having it already. Let me know if you have any questions on the cooling system/sizing etc. I'll try to help out as best i can.
Roofin tin; I just get what I need from lowes or hd the 5v crimp. I haven't priced it in awhile. We tore down an old barn years ago in exchange for the Tin which was in great shape. Hat was half of what I needed back then. It sure is getting pricey now

The only time it's ever big enough is right after you've sold everything. If you stay there, a week later it's getting crowded again

metal roofing maybe a good business for you to get in ,,,,computerized machine you just take rolls of flat,, colored tin... and put it in the machine it shapes it and cuts it to whatever length you want ...heck of a business ...

Could be bama. There's only one place around here beside the 2 big box places that do Rhe metal roof supplies. They are expensive. I don't see how one could compete with hd or lowes.. Metal prices are based on volume

I bought some tin the other day to build a deer blind. They made it right there in front of me.... it was pretty neat.

alot of building supplies buy from him... you'd have to see it, to know what i mean.. he stays covered up....you order today, its ready the next. 3ft wide 1.85 ft.

Went to lowes and got the lumber. Already have the header beam up, joist hangers up and corner poles set. 3 more poles to set, run the outside header and hangers and joists. Should be ready for roofing by the end of the day.
A friend of mine has a metal building construction company. They build cruise terminals, wharehouses etc. he offered up all the metal roofing I need to do the top and also 3 sides when I asked if lowes was still the best place for the 5v crimp
