I just AI'd my pig. No joke. It takes some sweet talking and back rubbing and grunting like a boar would and sometimes you have to sit on their back... The pipette screws in like some kind of kinky toy and they suck the stuff out of the bottle by themselves.
I did it out behind the barn where nobody could see me but I wasn't all that worried about getting caught because this IS California and any good conservative minded person that may have stopped by could see what was going on and recognize that those wild ones aren't the marrying kind.
I made amends with my wife. She advised me to wash my hands and I did... but I still feel dirty. :(

The rougher you are the better they like it. I used to knee them in the side and press on their back to get them to lockup. They loved the foreplay! And you're right, get the spirette locked in and a bottle won't last long.

cp, sounds like the scene in the movie Deliverance, i.e., when the guy tells Ned Beatty to squeal like a pig. That movie was strange when it came out in 1972, the year I graduated with my BS. It is now a classic by any standard.

Was it a good looking pig or did you have to drink a 12 pack first?

Did the pig have to drink a 12 pack?

We have AI'd a couple sows, CP how was the heat detection done?

Or was she bred after weaning? (wean on Fri. breed on Tues./ Wed.)

My lovely bride helps, she does the stimulating I do the rest.

We have sold a couple Hereford gilts to kids in Cali.

What breed of sow did you breed?

I park my truck right next to her pen. I leave in the dark so I'm in the habit of saying good morning to all the dogs as I walk past them and I great her as well since she's right there. I noticed that her little grunt in reply was a WOOF every twenty one days.

Very cool. I didn't realize anyone had Hereford hogs left.

She's a registered spot but we don't care to be in the pig business other than a litter here and there for the neighbors and ourselves to eat so we bred her to a landrace to bump up the bacon some.

this thread gives a new meaning to "screwed"
 Fwiw, I gave up on AI for goats. When reproduction requires a speculum, a headlight, another adult holding the front end and a kid on each rear leg, it's time to call it quits and let billy have his day in the sun.

How do you know whether to use a pipette with left handed or right handed thread??

We're in the northern hemisphere so I asked for one for north America. Down under the cervixes change directions and you have to get one threaded the other way.
It never occurred to me that some might twist in the other direction. Would that make them lesbians? :???: I just bought a pack of sheaths and they all twist the same direction.
