Haven't heard of an international ban. However, if all those gun-ban idiots and PETA advocates, etc., have their way it won't be too many years before it could happen. AKA "The Righteous Few Seeking Control of The Realistic Majority".

I just came across a copy of Jeff Cooper's book Ride, Shoot Straight, and Speak the Truth.
If you have any interest in guns, particularly handguns, find the book and read it. It is well written and it is hard to stop reading.
For those who may not know, Jeff Cooper is he man who pupularized the the use of the .45 auto and has taught many people what it can do.
If you are not interested in guns, then learn.

This isn;t a new issue with the UN. They've been trying for years to get it passed. It just rears it's ugly head every once in a hwile when the powers that be at the UN think they can sneak it through somehow. So far the US has stood firm against it.

It's ridiculous these...i dont know what you call them pry shouldnt say what comes to mind...have this much control over the most powerful country in the world. ITS DISGUSTING against their rights for queers to not get married but when somesthing as straight forward as the right to bare arms they want to over throw it...maybe we should use our right to bare arms on them and eliminate all this bull crap...ridiculous liberal country

Imagine how things are today and not having a gun. I can't help but think at some time or another, that we will have to defend ourselves from the people that live in our own country before we have to deal with other countries. There are more people killed, robbed, raped, etc.... in the United States than what the war does. We go to other countries (which I am not fussing about) to control their problem, but yet we don't control our own. I include lawyers in the same category as the government leaches. These are the people that look for handouts in any shape or form.
In Baton Rouge, as the FEMA trailers roll in, the people that have been living off of tax dollars are throwing bricks at the trailers soon as they pull into the area. Trailers aren't good enough for them. Police have to escort the truck and trailers. Not too long ago, the people burnt down 180 of the trailers there. They blocked off the interstate for hours when it happened. The people on the interstate thought it was because of safety reasons. Come to find out, it was a cover up. After the fires were put out, they stacked the frames on flatbeds and hauled them out of there. It was never reported in any newspapers or TV. If the government will not control the people when they decide to do as they have in Louisianna, then it will spread in other areas too.(Like it hasn't already!) I don't understand the government not taking charge over the people. They should have shot anyone that participated in the destruction. Then they say they are trying to make the government leaches move out of the area. It doesn't deal with the problem, just pushes them on other areas. That was our tax dollars being burnt. Try being late with paying the IRS, they will attach a stiff interest rate. Much worse than arson and burning down the trailers. Probably some politician got more money for ordering more trailers and money under the table made it OK. I am sick of not taking the crime that was commited as it is and not addressing to what happened. I don't care if the govenment check wasn't enough to supply them with drugs, they still need to be taken care of with what ever force it takes. I do believe it will get worse as time goes on and we will have to defend ourselves. They know the government backs off and they keep seeing how far they can push. I will vote against any anti-gun bill.

Since the total ban on handguns in Britain, the incidence of armed crime has increased,one of the reasons cited for the ban was that professional killers use small calibre handguns (do they really register their guns?)Even established gunclubs who had facilities for safe storage of members weapons were not allowed to be exempted. I grew up with weapons which were essential on our farms, and even more so when farmers and missionaries became the top targets of the terrorists in the 70's, Once they take your weapons, you become the target.

I think every country has to fight this sort of stuff....up here we have to have permits ..it sucks the crime rate keeps going up even with gun control.I.M.O it is just a ploy to disarm the people..they can have my guns when they pry them from my cold dead fingers.
I shudder to think what would have happened with the guys that tried to break into my house one night when I was gone and The wife and kids were home alone. if she had not taken my 12 ga and confronted them right at the door. they left mighty quick.
