Interesting Situation At Work

Today at work, one of the Red Angus bulls went missing. They have 2 Red Angus bulls that they put with some of the cows who have a weak trait or are just kind of crazy. They had both bulls out in the pasture, and this morning only one was there. We looked all through the woods and no sign of him. We checked the entire fence line and there were no breaks or lows spots. Mr. Detering is in Columbia for a little while, but the ranch worker has no clue what happened.

Check the neighbors pastures. Just because the fence isn't down doesn't mean the bull didn't decide to visit the neighbors cows.

On one side it is road, then on the other side its another pasture with cows in it. It is a wide open pasture, no woods in it like the pasture that he was in.

You might be surprised how far bulls can travel when they take the notion. ;-) Since you stated the fence wasn't cut or down leads me to believe that either the bull decided to go visiting, or he is hiding in the woods in his pasture for some reason. You also stated that the woods had been checked, that leaves visiting. The only other possibility would be if strange tire tracks were seen at the gate to this pasture.

Yeah, but if it were black helicopters surely they would have taken both bulls and a cow or two wouldn't they? Research works best with optimum conditions!

you may want to check they trees tomorrow anyway, sometimes the pilots get careless.

Have you noticed maybe a new black angus bull.If he is kinda crazy as you say,he may have realized being a red angus bull was making him crazy and decided to change colors to become black angus so he can get with the girls,IMO
