Infrared grill

Anybody ever used one. Open flame is my preferred method of course. I do use a gas grill, if I'm the only one eating. Someone got any first hand knowledge.

I use the infrared on my Jenn Air grill(bbq) for rotisserie, it does a nice job and my extra side infrared to do fish etc in a skillet .

What type are you looking at ?

I saw one in Sears this week. I don't remember the name. I had a holland gas grill a few years ago. Things took for ever to cook on it. This grill was affordable compared to the holland.

I have the charbroil that we picked up at Lowes. It's great for steaks but I prefer the Weber charcoal grill for everything else.

Too bad they don't let you test drive them on a few steaks before you buy them ;-)
