I see Anheuser's board turned down InBev's offer to purchase. Now InBev has filed suit in Maryland to get the sharholders to evict the current Board of Directors so all shareholders can vote on the purchase. That just seems a little backward to me.

From what I have read, InBev has already been approved for financing, and has prepaid some pretty hefty lender fees. Not talking about a few hundred or even a few thousand dollars in closing costs you or I might experience, hundreds of thousand of dollars. They must have been pretty sure Anheuser would sell at that price.

I'm glad they turned it down. I try to buy everything American, and I just don't particularly care for the "other" American made beers. Give me a cooler of Anheuser Busch's finest.

I hear ya Bandit...although years ago I probably drank a railroad tank cars full of "Old Milwaukee". Was pretty good beer back then. Haven't had one now in a long while.

"The Beast", I drank that if it was free or back in college, along with 'Stones. I can't hardly stomach the stuff now.

What amazes me around this area is how many folks drink "Natural Light". Never hardly heard of it til I moved here and I think more drink it than Bud Light.

Natty, yes, another fine Anheuser Busch product. I think the taste is similar to Busch Light, I actually could not tell the difference. Had my wife pour me one of each, and I couldn't tell a difference in the two. It is usually a little cheaper than Busch Light, but the wife won't drink it, unless it's all we have. Must be some sort of "status" thing er something.

You people probably think I am an alcoholic. :drink:

Nope..not at all....well unless you go to the meetings. ;-)

Beer is supposed to be made from Malted Barley, or an equivalent, not the crap like Bud puts in their products, like rice hulls.......................... :?

well if they over throw the board.an vote to sell out.its a sad day for america.sounds like that other company is pouting because their buyout got voted down.i had a bud light last nite.but i really prefer michalobe.an some beer i just flat refuse to drink.

Shiner Bock. Although I think that what we drink is determined by our budget a lot of the time.

Beer drinkers are a health-conscious group though. I walk the road that goes by my house, and every can or bottle out there is something "light".

Prefer Kentucky burbon myself. :drink:
