Implant Location?

Had the vet out last week. First time i have used implants. He said he prefered to put the implant toward the top of the ear. Everything i read says the middle is the best location. We put the tag in the middle, would that be the reason?

I have always put in the middle, but I suppose it would work either way.

frostbite can get the outer ear. I aim for the middle
