A few weeks back I took two cows w/calves to my AI tech and left them. When I picked them up I noticed the cows had some spots on the inside of their legs, but the calves were clean. I just figured that it was ringworm and went on. I already had the calves sold and while one didn't have any spots the other developed three on its body. I told the buyers about them when they picked them up and told them my guess.
One guy told me he always got them vet checked when he bought new cattle and would see what his doc said. Spoke with him yesterday and he said they are not a fungus, so this leaves me scratching my head on what to treat them for. Yes, flies are terrible this year and I do my best to keep them treated. Also spoke with the AI tech and he didn't have a clue and hadn't seen any on his animals. Any ideas?
