One positive affect of the ice storm was the lack of coyotes since it happened. Those of you that have been here in an evening and heard the multiple packs of yotes patraolling know what I'm referring too. Haven;t heard a yote or seen a track or scat since the whole deal started. I'm sure it's temporary but I think they've moved to a slightly less severe area for a while.

dun,
we can send a few of ours your way. The cold only seemed to bring them around our place more. Seems I always see them when I dont have my 243 with me.

I think I'll pass, but thanks just the same. Iwasn;t complaining about them being gone, just commenting. I hope they like wherever they've gone to and stay. The dog is a whole lot quieter at night lately.

Three of them showed up on my place day before yesterday. Two of them will be staying, and the other one has a story to tell his buddies. ;-)

These days I'm lucky to hit the ground at night. Taken to standing on the back porch and sending a load of buch shot into the shadows...have had some response from the 'yotes, a few yipes in the dark. Suppose that I'll need to build a trap once we get the chicken house in operation.
Just ambling on...DMc
