I using the bush hog at my sisters place when I hit a rock I had forgot about. I made half around before i saw the fire and by then it was 15 ft around. Boy that sage took off quick. And the grass underneath. Thankfully the wind was blowing in a good direction and so I just put it out on the woods side and let it go to the driveways.

Only takes a spark in fine fuel like that. Glad it didn't get bad

Like burning up your hay? :D

Yep. Just one little spark. Whoever said to not put your eggs in one basket knew a little something about sparks and hay piles.

The plan was to cut a small area for a garden then turn it over for a garden. The field looked so trashy though i hated to see it just sit there and nothing get done with it. That was the only spot where the hay looked that clean. The rest was full of briars and various weeds. I even saw some pine saplings and privets coming up in it. I hate to see a field grow up like that.

It'll be pretty and green and saplingless in a few weeks. Fire is good. (less of course it burns up 80 rolls of your hay) :lol2:
