can a good hyd. shop rebuilt these with out buying parts from Komatsu? any one have this done? price?

Yes, as this spring I had one rebuilt on my tractor loader. They turned the cylinder to get the rust off, re-chromed, re-packed and it was good as new, but it did cost plenty, $350.

I just repacked one of the lift cylinders on my d65e and I had to get most of the seals and wear rings through Komatsu. It was about $400 just for one side. I left the body of the cylinder on the dozer, just pulled the pin unbolted the head and slid the head and rod out. The hardest part is getting the nut off the rod.
