How Many are BQA Certified?

Help Support CattleToday:

I'm BQA certified. Takes about 2 or 3 hrs here. A video, handouts and a test. Pretty easy and good practices to follow.

I am not and the only place I have heard of it is here on CT. To the best of my knowledge it has never been offered as a program in this state or neighboring states. And my day job puts me in a position that I certainly would have heard about it.

Just completed the course work...waiting for the exam. Offered through Purdue University around here.

I went to that 2nd link. https://www.animalcaretraining.org/Packagedetail.aspx

It looks like it is very expensive.

Interesting that there are two men listed as contacts for Washington. One is a Vet with an address over at WSU so I am assuming he has something to do with the Vet school. I know the other man. I have sat beside him in meetings. Never a mention of this program. I don't think the program is pushed at all here. I know a couple of the past presidents of the state cattlemen's association, I will have to ask them the next time I see one of them.

Ryder my crystal ball says if your not in the next five to ten years you wont be
able to sell your product for human consumption.
This is about food safety the way I see it is buy a ticket and get on the train or be left
standing waving bye at the station.

We're BQA and Master Beef Producer. Master Beef Producer was about 20 hours of power point.

I've had all of the QA's for livestock that you can think of, all were pretty much common sense stuff, at least it was to me. Only one that was interesting was TQA, lots of different rules to follow for trucking livestock.
