I just had a calf and was wondering, with more calves on the way( hopefully 8 more) when will the cows be ready to breed back?

Within the next 2 to 3 months. A calf a year is the program.
Yep, you want that cow to calve every 12 months. If a cow is in good condition they can breed back within 30 days, though 45-60 is more likely. If not in as good condition then it can take up to 90 days or more depending on your feed, forage, and mineral program.

actually we had two of ours to move up two months and had two calves in one year. this year we had one cow that had her calf and it died from a freak accident on day 4 and within 10 days she stood for the bull so I think that is impossible but we'll see if she comes back in.

One of our donor cows was in a standing heat within 30 days. She was flushed on her 2nd heat and we got 20 good eggs.

they should breed back with in 30 to 90 days.now i have seen cows that raise big calves breed back in 120 to 150 days.
