how long before you put cow down

Ongoing problem with getting it up?
Is there a fever and what was the original cause of it going down, now and in the past
Is there a fever and what was the original cause of it going down, now and in the past
fever and loss of weights. wormed it, and it got better, then back to fever and coughing.then, no cough, no fever, but would not want to get up. would find it sitting up.. would stand it, then find it laying over. legsmaking snow angels in the dirt. would re stand. cow would help stand at a point. now will do nothing but lay all the way over.

What dun said. Put her down. Can't eat her anyway. Can't sell her.
I just hate it. shots, time energy paste, water, feed, and hay nearly hand fed. we have 90 head, and I am not successful at bringing them back, when they get sick. other then antibotics, what do you do when one goes down. we bring and nurse them in the barn. would do whatever just do not know what else to do.

Doesn"t sound good at all. It might be a single case of the cow is old and time is up, or it might be something that can spread.
Would be good to know what caused the sickness in case it is something the other cows can get what ever this cow had and you don't want that to happen.
A talk to the vet might be in order..
