It was 104 out on the deck. Looks like it says 102 now. This is not fit for man nor beast. It is 79 on the back porch/laundry room. That is the opposite end of the house from the AC. The AC is in the living room right behind my recliner. The only safe place to be. Back in the 70's and 80's when I was working for a living (falling timber). I would go work in Alaska in the summer to avoid the summer heat. Give me temperatures in the single digits any day over this heat.

The humidity here is about 15% today. But it is still too dang hot. The one time I was on the east coast it was in August. I thought the humidity was bad. All the locals said it wasn't bad that week. No thanks.

Hit 90 here today, have had 3 inches rain the last few days... humidity has been staying in the 60-75% range and 90% when it rains... pretty muggy/sticky out there.
Thankful for the rain... trying to make hay inbetween is interesting... cut some today... tedd tomorrow, rake Tues mid day, bale on Tues aft/eve. 40-50% chance storms again Wed. Behind and some is real dried out on top but alot of 2nd cutting growth coming up through.

been in the 80's up here in Fairbanks-AK, thinkin' mite move farther north!

Yeah…it’s getting to be not funny anymore. November isn’t even close yet.

What? About 5 weeks since the last rain and under 100 degree day.

Dave, what’s the nighttime lows?

Dave, I grew up in Indiana and now work in Ohio/Live in West Virginia. I did my Master's Thesis in Rangeland Resources at Oregon SU and did my field research on Catherine Creek Outside of LaGrande. 104 is hot. But, I'll take that any day over a day with temps above 'only' 90 with 95% plus humidity. I've experienced both, and more than just a day or 2 of 'vacationing' in either type of weather.

Welcome to Oklahoma @Dave !

We've had enough rain the humidity is thick enough to cut with a knife too here lately.
I don't tracked up a few spots cutting hay today. Was mighty thankful for the air conditioning in the swather
Knife indicates the humidity is solid. A ladle might be more useful or appropriate? :)

Yep if it doesn’t rain here in the next two weeks it’s going to be over.
106 on the Mercury today.

46 degrees last night and 59 today. Strong north wind off the big lake. Furnace has been running in the house...
We are 8 degrees tonight which is about 46. We need some heat units. Smoke is not helping daytime temps either.

I just got in from outside. I was adding another heat lamp to the baby hen coop. Babies are about 3 weeks old but huddling up to stay warm. I told kids to grab a sweater and extra blanket. They said they were tempted to fire up the wood stove. Mid July…😳
