Hot Wire Storage

What are sucessful strategies for taking down and storing hot wire (high gauge aluminum/steel)? Say 500 feet?

I have stored them round, say 20 feet diameter, but I always seem to get them tangeled when I try to reuse them.

The only way I've had success is to wrap them back on a jenny and keep the wire very tight as it's wrapped. Even then in can be trickey.

I bought one of those extension cord rollers from Wal-Mart, $9. Works good, but it can get quite heavy. At $9, I think I can buy a few more for the rest of my wire.

Wire roller on the tractor. Works great, but watch out for any splices.
