HOLY COW

Ever wonder where that term comes from? Here is the story:

I have a Simmental PB that is a descendant of the cow that was in the manger where Baby Jesus was born. The cow in the nativity was a big red and white cow. She was purchased soon after the birth of JC by a Roman soldier named Megadorius who took her back to Italy after his tour in Israel was over. There, she delivered a bull calf that Tribune Megadorius named Abraham. That bull was stolen by Swiss monks. Taken to the Simmi Valley where it was the sire of the Simmental Breed. That line of Simmentals came to the Phillips family in Kentucky. Old Zebulon Phillips kept the Holy Cow line purebred for 150 years. I bought one of those Holy Cows at Rocking P that goes all the way back to Abraham the Bull. I named her "Holy Cow".
