The feral hogs moved into the leased pasture Sunday night. Monday that place looked like it had been carpet bombed. I baited a hole under a pecan tree in the upper pasture. They have ripped the earth to shreds at that hole. There are tracks like I have never seen before. HUGE! Deep too. I put my biggest trap in that hole. It probably won't hold that hog. Had one not quite that big chew thru the 4 inch grid sheep panel 2 years ago.

I can't get over the size of the tracks.

Well boogie I thought it was just me seeing bigger ones than I've seen before.
Seen a big black one at the Post Oak ranch and at first thought it was a calf. It had to go around 400.
Maybe they are eating better or more.

saw a dead boar laying on the side of the road and at first i thought was a cow because it was so big

Naw I'm waiting until it dries up a little so I can get across the creek and I will get one with the ol smoke pole.

My deer hunting buddy of 30 years just got told they likely can't operate on the cancer in his throat.
He pretty much was the gun hunting influence , so I may just go straight bow unless the docs have a miracle for him next week.

BHB, I have told Brute this before and I am saying it again, you got a gold mine there staring you in the face for hog hunting.

Do you ever get too much of a good thing That must be where I am at cause I am sick of it.

Texas Park's and Wildlife tells us that if we take 78% of the hogs, we're only breaking even.

Got a needy family meeting me down there this a.m. to take two fat sows out of the holding pen. They'll be good eating. They'll also be off my feed bill. Win/win so to speak.
