Look in the picture of the Utility Vehicle. Blue is sitting in his seat waiting for a tour.
BTW: I have seven other head that are separated for AI, weaning and other purposes. I have 20 head now and growing. I will put 16 calves on the ground hopefully in 2014 if nothing goes sour.

Ron, you better put some hay in that ring. Your girls are going to be upset with you. Nice place and the cows look great. We need some rock here, it's a muddy mess by the water troughs and feed tables. We should have calves coming steady for the next month.
Thanks for the pictures.

Nice pictures Ron! Looks like you have a happy, healthy bunch! Including Blue!
I am with you, my dogs ARE my BEST buddies!

Why aren't you using your hay ring?
Your girls look healthy! Your rock floor looks a lot better too! How are they walking on it now?

I just don't like it. I can't give you a rational reason. I here stories about them moving it around and hurting calves. I should try it and get some experience with it.

Now that they have lounged in this area for about 2 weeks and the debris have covered the surface, they are walking fine.

I think you can safely use your hay ring without fear of injuring the calves.
