Hi to all,

Thought I would introduce myself here as I mainly deal with show cattle. I am currently working as a stud groom for two main studs (as I have no cattle of my own :( ) a Murray Grey Stud and a Square Meaters stud. I have also shown hoof and hook steers.

I've been viewing these boards for quite a while now and I love it, so I decided to become part of it!

Looking forward to sharing future discussions with you all . . .

Hi Keren
Nice to meet you. I show and breed Shorthorns here in SA, and also work for one of the larger studs. I'm sure you'll enjoy these boards... some things are a bit different to how we do it down under! Do you mind me asking who you work for?
Have fun!
Carla

^They sure do a few things different to how we do it down here. Welcome Keren, glad to see another Aussie(we'll take the boards over soon).

Nice to meet you!

Killala, I don't mind you asking, but I will PM you the stud names. I really like shorties, have worked with some and I will probably lean towards them when I get around to starting my own stud.

Bek . . . go Aussie power! I'm all for the takeover idea

I figured I'd be the first person from the states (and the very best state of them all, at that, TEXAS!) to give you a warm welcome to the boards!

There is quite a few of us youngin's, I'm one myself, and I think we might be taking it over soon to ;-)

Bek are you off to the EKKA?
I'm not showing cattle there this year. Cost too much and we don't get quality judges for our South Devon breed. Our judging time is not great either. I'll go for a look though at the Brahmans and maybe the SDs. There's stacks of Charolais entered as usual,Brisbane always has the best Charolais lineup in the country. :) Colin

I am off to the Ekka, but not until the second week, I wanted to go in the first but school's just to demanding at the moment, small breed judging isn't until the Tuesday of the second week this year and I'm showing Dexters so we'll head off Monday and won't be back home until Saturday. I think I read the other day that there's 219 Charolais entered this year, and Brissie do have the best Charolais representation that I've seen, I have a mate that usually does ok, Palgrove usually takes it out most of the time.
