what is a good birthweight epd on herefords? where should calving ease be? i looked at some saturday they were 3.4 and 2.6 CED. i am not looking for a heifer bull just moderate BWT

On a Hereford anything between .7 and 4.7 would be considered optimal for birthweight. ~65% of the breed can be found in that window. On CED, a +3.4 would be in the top ~8% of the breed. 65% of the breed has a NEGATIVE 1.2 or better (better meaning heading toward +numbers).
