Not where you are
HAving trouble finding good hereford heifers, checked through hereford association, just not anyone close still fooling with it. I mean trailer loads not one or two.

Sulgrave Farms, older man, great guy, takes good care of his cattle. Let me know if you want more info. All purebred hereford most registered, some not.

It's a long way to go, but DeShazer is having their Big Bred Heifer Sale on Sept. 10. Great cattle.

Contact Mr. Smith. I am not sure how far you are willing to go, or how many you are wanting to buy, but Mr. Smith has some great cattle. Grandview Plantation which is owned by William Adair bought about 400 head from Mr. Smith about a year and half ago. I think he still has about 200 head.

Matter of fact Mr. Smith is having a sale this weekend.
I just copied his name and address form the Georgia Hereford Association website.

No I haven't found any that suited me yet, but, I have one lead I'm following up on that was given to me by one of our esteemed cattletoday members.

Oh yeah I did find a guy in NJ that has 24 cow/calf pairs he wants to sell But, he wants an option by contract to buy half of them back in the spring it's a tax thing for him and he said he doesn't like the going out in the cold. I be darned if I'm hauling 24 head all that way and then come spring hauling 'em back to him or at least not for the deal he's thinking of. SUre id do it for a reasonable amount but, it sounds like it's a screwed up deal anyway.

Just a quick update on the DeShazer Sale. It will be broadcast live from http://www.DeShazer.com or http://www.CattleInMotion.com (must have dialup or the video won't work -- can hear audio though). They will also deliver, which depends on the distance. Over 750 miles is $300 -- seems fairly reasonable.

The cattle will be great.
