Herd Buyouts..

I wanted to through this out there, In the last 60 days there has been two major herd buyouts, one the angus breed, Rishell to Ankony and the C5 Charolais to Bruna Beef Genetics in the Charolais Breed.

Both the C5 group and the Rishell group have amazing cow power, donors, and both i am sure have amazing pregancies and embryos that were part of the transition to the new owners..

What speed bumps/ hurdles do you guys feel both Ankony and Bruna Beef will face with the acquisition of these other herds and what do you guys feel about these large purchases being made private treaty?

I am going to reserve my opinion until 6 months from now, but what are your guys opinions on these deals...

i doubt if they will face any speed bumps.because these arnt just some herds they bought.they are herds with estb breeding programs.an im sure the buyers have top programs of their own.thats why they added those 2 new herds.besides look at the amount of money they spent aquire those herds.

When Ankony bought out Holiday Ranch, I bought some cows out of them. I can only say good things, so far. Tom Hill the president called 2 days before to talk about some of the cows up for sale. He turned me on to a heifer who he thought would be a deal. Now she roams my field. He called five days after the sale to make sure I was happy with the cattle. He gave me some historical information on one that I bought. I have reserved money to go back down for their next cow/heifer sale to buy a few more. I hope that they bring some of the Rishell genetics out to these parts. :compute:
