I'm looking for information on hemarthria grass. I know its used in south Florida and hear that its grazed year round there. Anyone use it further north? I'm on the coast of Alabama. I am wondering if it will keep growing longer through fall than Bahia in my area?
 
I think its from Africa. I don't know much about it except it's grown in south Florida. A friend of mine works for a ranch around Fort Myers and brought some clippings for me to plant.
 
Got me curious so I did some looking. I can;t find any reference to it other than in southern FL. Probably worth a shot in alabama as an experiment
 
I sprigged a feed bag full of runners on some new ground. I'll update before end of summer. Was hoping someone already tried it around here.
