Help With M & W Mower Gear Box

I hit a stump with my 10' M & W P1028 mower and broke the shaft coming out of the center gearbox. New parts are completely out of my reach money wise. Looking for a used gearbox or where parts can be found at reasonable prices. Thanks for the help.
