Help with a 07 silverado comp reset (?)

Just replaced my driver side door pins and bushings, while pins were bad I had a couple of things happen. The "driver door ajar" message came on, also in that truck when I shut off the key the radio will continue to play for 15 minutes or until I open a door, because of the bad pins the radio shuts off when I turn the engine off. Now that I have new pins and bushings in both things still happen, I was thinking to reset the computer on the truck and see if that worked. I disconnected both batts and let it sit for 30 minutes and reconnected batts, no help still the same. But I did not lose my radio station presets, so I don't think it was a reset.

Any suggestions on what to try next or how to reset the computer?
 
Disconnect the neg cable and turn your key forward and back off. At least that's how a dodge is reset . With it being a Chevy idk. At least I didn't tell you to sell it and buy a Ford.

How will "the headlights turn on" with the batteries disconnected? How would the headlight switch command anything with no power? On most cars if you want to discharge the capacitors in the ECU you hook the positive /negative cables together for a few minutes. Your results may vary....I don't like to do this on older cars. Stuff is fragile as it is...just saying.

How will "the headlights turn on" with the batteries disconnected? How would the headlight switch command anything with no power? On most cars if you want to discharge the capacitors in the ECU you hook the positive /negative cables together for a few minutes. Your results may vary....I don't like to do this on older cars. Turning the switch on bleeds off any residual power that helps the PCM keep it's ram memory. That's what holds codes, radio presets, etc

This method you are describing performs the same function Hook is describing by turning the headlights on. Same thing. Hooking the positive and negative cables together doesn't "command" power either. Both methods will assist in drawing the residual voltage down for a default restoration.

Alan whenever we work on stuff we always unplug the battery no matter what it is and that usually will as others have said wipe the memory however we have had some issues with some trucks and manually wiped the codes with the scan tool.
 
I recently replaced my computer with a custom programmed computer. Disconnecting the computer itself is easier than you think. Hard to screw it up. My truck then started off with zero hours on it. It's just two electrical plugs.

Just a thought.
