4,8,12,2,1,7,6,3,5,11,10, ? can someone tell me what the last number in this sequence is ?

vett you are very close to having the complete answer, I think if you look at the order of that sequence carefully you will see what it is .

Not that I can explain. I wish I could. I see number patterns and sometimes I see the answers. I always thought it was just luck. Not the answer you wanted but how it is.
 
We've come to the point where we all need a good nights rest so here it is . The sequence is.........
the corresponding numbers of the months in alphabetical order . 4-April 8-August and so on .

Guess that means I not a knowledger after all, Just lucky. Darn I wuz startin to get excited for a minute there.
 
Almost had it, figured it out while washing some dishes but didn't get it posted in time. Mnmt's 9 answer is what gave me the 1 - 12.
