Texas, Where Else!!
Ok here is a rough description of her (b/c i don't have a digital camera and can't post pictures). We picked up a new bottle calf two days ago that is solid black. She is smalled framed(not to mention about as tall as my shorthair pointer b/c she is premature),and has long soft black hair that is about an inch long. I had heard that Galloways had long soft hair but i thought they had white and she has no white on her. Any suggestions as to what she might be? Thanks!!

I hope all of that made sense.

Galloways can be black, white, red, silver, dun, or can be belted in any of those colors. But in Texas? I didn't think there were too many that far south. However, I've heard that they can tough it out as good as the Angus or Herf's as long as they shed out.

We raise them and as far as true grit goes, they've got it.

Thanks for the help. I didn't know if they could survive down here or not. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
