I am very new and have bacially no experience with sick calves. I do work as a medical professional so I know the basic concepts but thats it... It is a beef bull calf that weighs aprox 95 lbs, his umbilical cord is completely gone and healed up. I am not sure if this helps with an age, because I have no clue. The calf was essencially left for dead and I am a sucker... He has a great appetite and drinks easily from a bottle. He will also nibble on hay. He stands and walks fine, although he does have problem in getting down to lay down. But he gets up very easily. He has diarhea(sp) but urinates ok. He has very bright shinny eyes and coat. Please help what can I do with him (besides kill him) I have given him 2 quarts milk replacer and 500mg oxytetracycline HCl for the scours....
