So I have a almost 5 month old heifer calf we were about to give our weaned vaccinations (one shot vaccine) i noticed inside the vulva/vagina area she has pustulas and they are red no discharrge and calf isnt holding her tail weird, Absolutley no other symptoms. Think IBR/IPV. The vets are impossible to contact and figure out what to do. Through email vet said itll run its course and she will be safe to breed next year. I explained what i saw etc. Please I need thoughts from anyone.?!?!?!? I really hate to get rid of them and would it affect there fertility?

No not yet. She has no discharge she looks completely healthy and is growing great. When you look inside vulva vaginal area there's little pustulas that are red and that's basically it. I know most herpes virus go dormant. My vet said itll takes its course but i would like to keep her but not sure what to do and what to do for vaccinations now

due to age and location and appearance; 1) bhv1 bovine herpes virus type 1, a real vet would offer a small punch biopsy, or pcr testing, and a recheck in 60 days, a quack vet might say that the literature is full of reports that herpes virus responds to low dose continual ivomec orally-30 days.
could be many other things

bovine leukosis my next photo inspired, age considered guess
bovine papillomatosis my last age location guess without biopsy or pcr

Vet came and is not concerned keeping her on a strict MLV vaccine. Hes been my vet for 50+ years if its IPV itll run its course. Referred to it as people with a cold sore...could potentially come back with stress but doesn't happen often with the operation we have. Basically keep strict MLV vacciantions going and is not worried about her fertility in the future. He did a very good exam on her and all is well. Overall not concerned about it. It takes about 15 days to run its course.

Did 3 days of la 200/ saline flush...not much of a difference. Vet isnt concerned with long term fertility..... mild grandular vulvavaginitis.
