I am in NE Texas , I have 40 acres that I am wanting to run a few cows on and make a little money. I have found it is hard for a guy to move to the country and start with a dream. The locals are kind of snooty.

Welcome to CT!

There are likely to be narcissists everywhere but there does seem to be a special kind of them up in that area. Just do whatever you want to and try to ignore their self inflated ego.

thank you , It seems like a bunch of people are from Texas on here.

There are people from all over here.

I ran to Marshall last weekend. First visit to our inherited land there for a while.

Welcome!

Those people have probably all lived there for generations. It probably takes time for them to warm up to newcomers.

Have you decided on the type of cattle you want to raise? How many cows do you want to have? Can you produce your own hay, or will you buy hay?
