Height to clip?

We’ve agreed to put up neighbors grass hay. There is broomsedge from last year and they want it bushhog this spring. Today I walked part of the field. The green grass is growing.6 inches in some places. How low should we clip it?

6" should be fine. You mow your yard every week and it jumps right back the next week.
