i have 2 heifers, one 13 months old and one about 10 months old. How often will they come in heat before breeding age.? I mean would it be safe to summer them with the other Cows (pregnant and due shortly) and the Bull?

My Simmental heifers will start cycling as young as 6 months old. They will produce a follicle and release an egg on approximately a 21 day estrus cycle. If you do not want them bred, they have to be separated from a bull.

Have heifers get bred as young as 5 months old. Your heifers should be cycling already, at least one for sure.

That’s a question you will find lots of different opinions on. Me personally I put my heifers in with the bull when they are around 15 months old.

My youngest heifer will be 15 months old in August this year. i think i will wait until the end of August and put both in the Bull pen.

Good idea, calves will be coming in june but they will be at least 24 months old and should be able to handle a calving if the bull doesn't throw big calves.
