TMBP i don't think that breed of cattle comes in any other color. Their kinda like Fullblood Limis they only come in one color. Come to think of it a Full French Saler would be red.

Hmmmm...... black poll.....does have a little ring to it but I think they will stay red for quite awhile.

And yes a fullblood Saler would definately be red not black.
 
I'm a sucker for red cows. That is a nice looking heifer by any standard. I would like a dozen like her. I have some red angus cows that I really, really like. I'm guessing that your red poll heifer is registered but if she were commercial and I had her I would put my black balancer bull on her. In these parts black brings more money but many cattleman, including myself, have high quality red cows and put black bulls on them. From what I have seen around here and in my travels there is a higher percentage of the red cows vs. black in most commercial herds are of a higher quality.

That is quite a nice heifer. Same around here HOSS, lots of producers with red cows and a black bull on em.

If it wasn't for the huge demand for purebred Red Polls right now we would probably be looking at raising some cross bred calves.

Since you have a waiting list for the reds, have you raised the price as you progressed in the year? Or did you sell the last ones at the same price as the first tones?

The price has gradually increased....no sense in pricing ourselves out of business.
